Privacy Policy
NutriCleanse is operated by Danielle Morris as a sole trader. I am responsible for the personal information I collect and use in connection with NutriCleanse health and lifestyle coaching.
If you have any questions about this notice or how your information is handled, contact me at danielle.morris@nutricleanse.co.uk.
What information I collect
To provide a safe, personalised coaching service, I may collect:
- identity and contact details, such as your name, date of birth, address, email address and telephone number;
- information about your goals, lifestyle, sleep, stress, physical activity, food and drink habits, preferences and circumstances;
- measurements you choose to provide, such as height, weight, waist measurement and goal weight;
- health information, including medical conditions, previous medical history, medication, supplements, allergies or intolerances, hospital admissions and relevant family history;
- food diaries, questionnaires, weekly reflections, coaching notes and information you share during check-ins or messages;
- payment, booking and transaction information where relevant; and
- basic technical or enquiry information you provide when contacting me or using the NutriCleanse website.
Why I use your information
I use personal information only where it is needed for a clear purpose. This may include:
- assessing whether coaching is appropriate and providing the service you have requested;
- creating and adapting personalised nutrition, lifestyle and behaviour-change guidance;
- communicating with you, arranging check-ins and responding to questions;
- monitoring progress and maintaining appropriate coaching records;
- administering payments, accounts and business records;
- meeting legal, tax, insurance or regulatory obligations; and
- establishing, exercising or defending legal claims where necessary.
My lawful basis for using your information
For ordinary personal information needed to provide your coaching service, I generally rely on the lawful basis of contract: the information is necessary to take steps at your request or to provide the coaching service you have agreed to receive.
I may also process limited information where necessary to comply with a legal obligation, or where I have a legitimate interest in running and protecting NutriCleanse, for example maintaining appropriate business records or responding to a complaint. I will only rely on legitimate interests where your rights and interests do not override them.
Health information and other special category data
Information about your health is classed as special category data and receives additional protection under UK data protection law.
Where NutriCleanse needs health information in order to provide personalised coaching safely, I rely on your explicit consent as the additional condition for processing that health information. You can withdraw that consent at any time by contacting me. Withdrawal will not affect processing that was lawful before you withdrew consent. If the health information is necessary to provide a requested part of the coaching service, withdrawing consent may mean I can no longer provide that part of the service.
Where I get your information
Most information is provided directly by you through questionnaires, food diaries, messages, check-ins and other communications. If you choose to provide information from another source, such as a healthcare professional or report, I will handle it in accordance with this notice.
Who I share information with
I do not sell your personal information. I may share only the information necessary with trusted service providers that help me operate NutriCleanse, such as website, email, secure file-storage, payment, booking, accounting or IT providers. These providers may process information on my behalf and are expected to protect it appropriately.
I may also disclose information where required by law, to professional advisers or insurers where necessary, or where disclosure is necessary to establish, exercise or defend legal claims. I will not routinely share your health information with family members, employers or healthcare professionals without your permission.
International transfers
Some technology providers may store or process information outside the UK. Where this happens, I will use providers and arrangements intended to provide an appropriate level of protection for personal information in accordance with UK data protection requirements.
How I keep your information secure
I take reasonable steps to protect personal information against loss, unauthorised access, alteration or disclosure. Access to client information is limited to what is necessary for providing and administering the NutriCleanse service. Electronic information is protected using appropriate device, account and access security, and paper records, if used, are kept securely.
How long I keep your information
I keep personal information only for as long as it is reasonably needed for the purpose for which it was collected and for any applicable legal, accounting, insurance or dispute-resolution requirements. Core client and transaction records may normally be retained for up to six years after the end of the coaching relationship where this is necessary for those purposes. Information that is no longer needed will be securely deleted or destroyed.
I may keep some information for a shorter period where there is no continuing need to retain it. Retention periods will be reviewed if the way NutriCleanse operates changes.
Your data protection rights
Depending on the circumstances, you may have rights to:
- ask for a copy of the personal information I hold about you;
- ask me to correct inaccurate or incomplete information;
- ask me to delete your information in certain circumstances;
- ask me to restrict how your information is used in certain circumstances;
- object to certain processing based on legitimate interests;
- receive certain information in a portable format where the right to data portability applies; and
- withdraw consent at any time where I rely on consent.
These rights are not absolute and may depend on the reason the information is being processed. I may need to confirm your identity before responding to a request.
Marketing
I will not use your health information for marketing. If NutriCleanse sends optional electronic marketing in future, I will do so only where permitted by law and will provide a simple way to opt out.
Children and young people
This privacy notice is written for NutriCleanse's general coaching service. If I offer a service directly to a child or young person, I will consider the additional privacy, consent and safeguarding requirements that apply before collecting their information.
Changes to this notice
I may update this privacy notice if the services I provide, the technology I use or legal requirements change. The current version will show the date it was last updated. Where a change materially affects how I use existing client information, I will bring it to the attention of affected clients.
Questions, requests or complaints
Please contact Danielle Morris at danielle.morris@nutricleanse.co.uk if you have a question, want to exercise a data protection right, or have a concern about how your information has been handled.
You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO), the UK's data protection regulator. Information about making a complaint is available at ico.org.uk.
